1. File before renting or offering to rent
The Borough Clerk states that all property owners renting or offering to rent an apartment, house or condominium unit must file an application and registration. Use the current online or published application.
Open the Wildwood Crest rental application2. Identify the rental type accurately
The application distinguishes seasonal or short-term rental activity from year-round or long-term rentals. Select the status that matches the actual use and ask the Mercantile Office when the pattern is mixed or changing.

The published form includes fields for fire registration, zoning certification and DCA or landlord registration. Confirm which records apply to the property rather than assuming every condo or dwelling follows the same path.
- Use the legal owner and unit information
- Resolve missing inspections or certificates
- Retain invoices, payment and approval records
4. Keep the responsible-party information usable
The Borough code covers registration, inspection and licensing. Keep owner, agent and emergency information current and make sure the operating contact can access the property when needed.

Keep advertised capacity, sleeping layout, parking, association rules and local requirements consistent. Provide guests with the current trash, noise, beach and property-specific instructions before arrival.
