Wildwoods fall owner plan: separate the shared market from local operations

First: confirm which municipality owns the task

Wildwood, North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest share an island and tourism market, but not one license, code office or trash schedule. Use the municipality on the tax record—not a listing title, ZIP code or the word Wildwood in the mailing address.

Put the municipality at the top of the property runbook so cleaners, guests and vendors do not follow a neighboring town's instructions.

• City of Wildwood: use City forms and Public Works schedules
• North Wildwood: use North Wildwood departments and permit path
• Wildwood Crest: use Borough forms and mercantile rental path
• For a condo, add association rules as a separate layer; they do not replace municipal rules

City of Wildwood only: change collection instructions for October 5

The City's 2026 Winter–Spring–Fall schedule resumes October 5 and runs through December 31. Do not apply these dates to North Wildwood or Wildwood Crest properties.

• Zone 1, 26th Street to Pine Avenue: Wednesday trash and recycling
• Zone 2, Wildwood Avenue to Baker Avenue: Monday trash and recycling
• Zone 3, Montgomery Avenue to Cresse Avenue: Tuesday trash and recycling
• Set out after 9 p.m. the prior day and no later than 6 a.m. on collection day
• No plastic bags in recycling; break down and contain cardboard
• If a holiday cancels collection, the City says pickup occurs the following day

City of Wildwood only: make the renter handoff explicit

The City's Public Works page says owners must give tenants trash and recycling information, provide receptacles in each unit and are responsible for violations. Treat that as a repeatable turnover deliverable, not fine print in a long lease.

• Put the correct zone and day near the kitchen exit
• Give the cleaner a photo of the approved set-out location
• Keep container quantity and weight within the published limits
• List the missed-pickup number separately from maintenance contacts
• Do not place hazardous waste or construction debris into the municipal stream

Plan remaining 2026 bulk disposal before placing anything curbside

The City of Wildwood provides one free residential bulk pickup per month outside July and August, on the last standard collection day for each zone. The fall dates are published separately and excluded items remain the owner's responsibility.

• October: Zone 2 October 26, Zone 3 October 27, Zone 1 October 28
• November: Zone 3 November 24, Zone 1 November 25, Zone 2 November 30

• Wrap cloth or upholstered items in plastic; mattresses, construction debris and items over 75 pounds are excluded

For condos and multifamily properties: document the handoff line

The most expensive fall gaps often sit between the unit and the building. Record which party owns common alarms, elevators, shutoffs, exterior openings, hose bibs and storm access before vendors are harder to schedule.

• Photograph unit interiors and accessible common-area interfaces
• Test heat, water, leak alerts and entry systems
• Confirm the association's winter access and emergency contacts
• Separate owner work orders from association requests
• Save the municipal license, association approval and vendor receipts together
